Derbyshire County Council selects OpenSky’s Waste Data Management System (iWDMS) to track Waste Data

Derbyshire County Council has announced a two-year contract with OpenSky Data Systems, Gov-Tech business specialists of customised IT solutions, as part of plans to support its Joint Municipal Waste Management Strategy.

The iWDMS (Integrated Waste Data Management System) by OpenSky will support the processing of waste movements in the Derbyshire County Council area. OpenSky are delighted to add Derbyshire to their large portfolio of UK & Ireland waste authorities utilising their Waste Data Management Solution.

The partnership expects the software to support a range of aims including:

• capture some of the waste disposal authority’s contract tonnage data
• submission of the waste collection authorities’ tonnage data
• management of authorised vehicle tipping lists
